Time flies…
Didn’t
realise that 3 and half months passed within a blink of an eye…
It’s the time
to jot down what’s within the first 3 months experience with PwC~
It’s very
different from internship experience
Step into PwC,
perhaps, this is the main intake of new joiner
As all of us
are new
None of us
would catch much of the attention when doing something stupid
I felt more
free (as compared to last time) to ask around, try and error =)
I am glad that
most of my colleagues/ batch-mates are quite friendly and active
Who likes to
organise activities to make our bone stronger
It’s too bad I
couldn’t join much of the gathering
But their
efforts are much appreciated =)
P/S: Enjoy the
training session, KSP night time, dance practice time, club time, movie time,
sing k time etc with you guys!!!
To begin, I have really no idea as in..
how am I going
to proceed for the audit profession for the coming days (as my greatest
interest is in art)?
If it’s
already been a “constant variable” what can I do to make my life and career a
better and happier one?
Which
categories (FS, CLAS, MMG, EUMI) should I choose,
taken into
account I would like to have some outstation-jobs and I don’t like to have too
short engagement?
Too much of
uncertainties
Could only
uptake them step by step
No one can
foresee our future and make 100% accurate decision
And,
eventually, I chose FS and MMG
Not too sure
if FS suit me, TBH, I was affected by the decision of most of my friends….LOL
MMG, short
engagement.. my 1st thought is.. I can expose to more industries and
companies…
And I would
like to have more understanding to those SME esp. those branded shops….(it
sounds a bit stupid anyway :p)
It’s great
that I have tried all 4 FS, EUMI, CLAS and MMG by now
Here comes my
first engagement in FS
This is my
very first experience,
Work like an
auditor, got into client place
I used to be
uneasy when come to a new environment
Fortunately,
my team members are quite friendly and helpful
Especially my
so called senior (in fact, he is still an associate), KH…
Though he is
just 9 months more experience than us (me and my batch-mate>see chia)
He seems so
insightful and knowledgeable over the tasks
Perhaps I
should say 9 months experience is really far-away from a 1 month ‘’amateur’’
with zero experience
Really
thankful to him for his patience and earnest, as well as tolerance over our
ignorance…LOL
My SA is kind
enough as well
Even her
expression somehow stress, she didn’t show up to us =)
Come to the 2nd
engagement in EUMI
It’s See Chia
again. Glad to have her with me, at least there is someone I am familiar with.
Also, Nichole,
a sweet and dedicate girl.
They are like
a sweet for my bitter medicine, which made up my entire engagement =)
Otherwise I
would be resentful enough over the way EUMI is operated
(As I found the
culture there doesn’t really suit me well)
3rd
engagement in CLAS
Again, I was
allocated to what I didn’t choose
Yet, by now, I
am glad for this arrangement, otherwise I wouldn’t have a great experience with
this team
This is the
longest engagement I have ever had by now (though it’s just 5 weeks)
As what I
always think, the team is the foremost important factor that I consider
I would prefer
a harsh task with an inspiring team than an easy job with poor team
The motivation
and satisfaction behind did make much difference=)
From the first
glance over the structure and the manner of audit to be undertaken,
I figured out
that this would be a challenging job for me
I used to be a
bit blur especially dealing with those complicated computer system
At that
moment, I was anxious..
My learning
curve seems not to be able to reach the optimum point before I left the engagement
This is what I
dislike for short engagement.
Blurring for
the 1st week, catch up in the 2nd week, handover in the 3rd/4th
week
Inefficient to
leave and enter into a new one, repeat the whole cycle again…sigh*.*
Unlike other
profession, auditor always travels from one client place to another
Engagement and
team changed too frequently,
The team bond
become loose somehow
Here, I see
some exceptions
This is such
really a large team, and we are like a big family…^_^
> My direct
senior, is kind and capable
Every time I saw how he use the PC,
I wondered how he could make use of it so fast
I tried to figure out what’s the short cut key he
pressed, always. LOL
Regretfully, I showed a lot of blur face to him =.=
I just can’t show a confident look when I was
confused, listening to the complicated system >.<
Hope I’m not the only one =p
> My ES, a
perfectionist,
And
somehow I think the way she guides make me feel secure
To the extent that she could make things clear and
direct
My experience with her personally was quite different
as well
Out of expectation, we have the same interest over
KPOP and fandom
Feel so grateful and glad to have same topic with her
Somehow shorten the distance between a senior and junior
Yet, the respect would still always be in mind
In front of her, I would never be in a relax mode…LOL
>Eunice, KC,
Hajar
--an
earlier-bonded group…glad to know them and work with them
Especially to Eunice, a sweet and pretty girl
Thanks for being the one who always be with me, guide
me and be my personal advisory LOL
>M.Yin, M.Jin…as
well as the 2 VT, Boonyi and SueMay
-- Same group
as well..MY is such a kind senior to the extent that I wouldn’t feel the
distance as a senior and junior
MJin, an experienced member (esp TOD) compared to
me….feel so guilty for that T_T
Boonyi and SueMay, they are just cute to me (coz they
are younger?) lol
Feel sorry, can’t teach them much and can’t stay
longer for them too.. hope my handover won’t create a nightmare for them =p
>VV, David,
KY, WC, PY
--Enjoy the
chit chat time with them
PY is
a good baker, cooker and potential good wife =3
David
has the potential to give talk indeed! Capable enough to cheat me on the first
day.. >.<
>JH and WK
--Not much
time dealing with them other than badminton session
Nice experience to play with them, the state
player! together with Mayjin and WeyChyi!
WK is cool by appearance, but indeed is such
a good advisor for his life experience somehow..
P/S: Never stop intimidating me for my
career….shall thank him for giving me some expectation over auditor’s life
too..LOL
>Lifong
--Another nice
girl I met who would care of me (warm)
She is a workaholic! Or shall I praise her
for her hardwork..thumbs up!
>YM, Ed
--All are energetic
and active seniors who like to organise activities =)
Thanks for that..Really enjoy the time
during ATV as well as the Christmas party..
Shall we have another new year party?? =p
>Many
others more……
--Great to
know them as well…
All together
make up this lively team…Cheers!!! =)
The final and
the current one in MMG
Just got back
from Johor yesterday
Finally I
tried my first flight and outstation job
Just two of us
were going
Well, there
are pros and cons for outstation job
Once got back
from client place, the only thing we can do is
Stay in the
hotel, either work or sleep (I got no transportation too >_< )
But the client
is good enough to lend us their car for us to go for lunch ..LOL
It’s too early
to make a conclusion yet
For what I
know, it would have much follow up work to be done,
As the MMG job
is always short and so overlapping each other
Would it be
tiring??? Well, I would get an answer soon
Currently, I
do consider to recur in my CLAS job but wish to have more exposure to others
job
“It’s like a
second home”.. sound warm and terrible simultaneously=p
Let’s see
how..will get the figure out after these few months
